Public Relations Experience
As the only marketing member of the team at Spoiler Alert, I worked with the co-founders to manage media relations for external company announcements, such as the company’s launch in late 2015, our $2.5 million seed round of funding, and a pilot program with Sysco Corporation. Additionally, I acted as a ghostwriter for thought leadership articles, most notably for an op-ed in The New York Times.
At Sartori Cheese, I co-managed public relations efforts, launched a blogger outreach program, wrote press releases for company awards and announcements, developed marketing materials for our media kit, and represented the company in media tours and various events.
Op-ED: Room for Debate
I served as a ghostwriter for an op-ed in The New York Times on behalf of the company co-founders at Spoiler Alert. The article was shared nearly 300 times across social media, according to BuzzSumo. Our inclusion helped differentiate us as a tech leader in the food waste world, positioning us next to other thought leaders in the space. The article was also an opportunity to secure a high-quality back link to our website homepage, which fed into an overall SEO strategy.
DMA Solutions Guest Blog Posts
I wrote three guest blog posts for DMA Solutions, an industry leader in produce marketing. The opportunity to contribute thought leadership pieces to their blog helped us get in front of our target demographic and served as a lead generation tool for our Director of Business Development. Here are two of the blog posts:
New Product Launches
Citrus Ginger BellaVitano
In January 2015, Sartori Cheese launched a new product - their latest release in over two years. I managed a creative campaign with a co-worker to successfully execute a launch strategy with a focus on social media promotion, blogger outreach, and PR tactics.

The Guardian Feature
I worked on media prep, messaging, and positioning with our CEO for this interview with The Guardian. I developed key messages and talking points for the interview and provided background research on the journalist. I followed up the interview with additional information about our company and links to relevant content to contribute to the reporting.
Wisconsin Cheese Media Tour
In my role at Sartori Cheese, I worked with a colleague on our participation in a media tour of various Wisconsin cheesemakers. The tour was hosted by the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, and Sartori was one of the cheese companies included in the tour.

Sartori Media Kit
I contributed press releases, recipes, and various "story starters" to our media kit in my role at Sartori Cheese.
One of the story starters I wrote was about the history of Plymouth, Wisconsin (where Sartori is based) and the city's roots in cheesemaking.
Here's the one-pager that I developed for our media kit.
Digital Media Kit
I designed the online media kit for Spoiler Alert, including the website design, downloadable assets (logos, founder photos, product imagery), and copywriting for the kit.
